Faith, Faith, Faith just a little bit of
"FAITH"
Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle
LaGrange, Indiana

In Matthew the 14th chapter we read where
Jesus fed a group of men, women and
children with just a few fish and loves of
bread.

But this isn't (in my opinion) the greatest
test of Faith that we will find in this chapter.

Verse 22 sets the stage of a great test that
the disciples of Jesus will face, even after
watching in amazement the feeding of the
multitude.

"JESUS CONSTRAINED or (URGED) HIS
DISCIPLES TO GET INTO THE SHIP"
We welcome you and your family, and friends.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Matthew 14: 22-33

The time of testing began when Jesus urged his disciples to get into a ship and meet him on the other
side of the sea. Jesus knew what his disciples would face on the sea but the disciples did not.

This was to be the time that His disciples would face a life changing test of "FAITH".

Would they blame Jesus for putting them into the ship that was to be tossed and beaten by the sea?

It would seem like Jesus had lead and left them in an impossible situation. The sea had turned
violent and fear gripped all of their hearts, even when they saw Jesus walking on the sea.
Fear gripped their hearts and then their minds began to see some thing that wasn't there.
Perhaps they began to think "why did the Lord want us on this ship at this time".
This is all Jesus' fault, we would be on dry land had He not put us here.

Jesus does the impossible!
In verse 26 Jesus calls to them, trying to help settle their nerves and calm the situation, "it is I be
not afraid".

Peter answers the call, If it is you Lord bid me to come to you on the sea. Jesus simply said "COME".

These scriptures are here for us not to judge Peter or Jesus but to simply let us know that if we
stand on the Word of God no matter what test of Faith we face, Jesus will always be there.

YES Peter began to sink and his faith left him, but Jesus "NEVER LEFT PETER ALONE" even though
Peter seemed to have lost his faith, but it was to be a simple test for him, and all of the disciples.
Would they leave Jesus or learn from the test?

As the old well known song says:
Faith, Faith, Faith just a little bit of Faith, you don't need a whole lot just use what you've got...

ON WHAT SIDE OF FAITH DO YOU STAND?
WILL YOU STAY OR WILL YOU FAIL?
THE CHOICE IS FOR YOU TO DECIDE, JESUS IS STILL THERE.
